Forest Creatures and Sacrifices

You say that the creatures of the forest march willingly to their
death. I believe you, I believe that this is true. But I guess
you believe that death as a sacrifice is a good and noble thing.
I say that you are wrong, it is noble yes, but good? Death is
death, and if you for one instant believe that the death of a
creature is TRULY worth the small modicum of power it gives your
shrines...well then, you doing one of two things. You either
overestimate your importance, or underestimate the importance of
the creatures of the forest. It's death is noble, but more is
hurt by that creature losing its life than is gained by its
noble sacrifice. And if you feel that is good, well, then I pity
you.

Bah, but that won't stop you from doing it, or anyone else for
that matter, it's at times like these I ask myself, why do I
bother to post? Then I realise, because I love hearing the
inventive counter arguements.

- Dream Shadow, Serpent of the Moon.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Phaestian, in the year 253 AF.
