Good and Evil?

"You stand over a magnificent elk and chant the ritualistic words
of sacrificial preparation. Although a magnificent elk falls into
line behind you, you note in its eyes that it still retains free
will."

This is an accurate oral description of what every priest and
paladin sees when they prepare an animal for the gift that is
their sacrifice to a higher purpose. I suggest you speak with
the Earthmother, or one of Her knowledgeable followers, before
you make assumptions.

As far as your assumption that Good and Evil are "in the eye of
the beholder", I only find myself exasperated at how often
this fallacy is preached. Good and Evil are not relative, and
both the Church and the Followers of Sartan will struggle to
be the first to tell you so. In my most objective state of
mind, I will concede that right and wrong are subjective, but
not Good and Evil.

I have to wonder at the morality of a druid who feels that the
slaughter of children and the consumption of hearts is perfectly
okay. I guess you didn't live through the strife caused by the
children of Eris, towards the followers of the Earthmother.

The Church does NOT say it is the only force for Good. There are
many people in every guild in this world who have done good things
and have been good people. The Church is, however, the only guild(s)
that claims, without apology or excuse, that they are Good.

Israfel.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Phaestian, in the year 253 AF.
