oaths

Forgive me if I am speaking out of turn, but you say that you chose to follow your own path. Did this path go against any of the oaths you took when you joined the priests? In which case, it was the right of the church to recommend your excommunication sureley?
Oaths seem to be taken far too lightly in the world. An oath is a sacred promise which should be kept until you die, else you be punished for breaking it. One should never take an oath unless one means to keep it, or suffer the consequenses of breaking it without complaint.
You say yourself that you made the choice to break the oaths and leave the church, perhaps then, you should keep your complaints to yourself. We all have to live with the consequences of our actions. Some, however, choose to do so with dignity.
