The bitter taste of your own failures as a knight

Isildur, you have long been one of the more reasonable fellows in the Basillica in my opinion, but every once in a while, you stab yourself in the leg with some inane rambling reminiscent of the tiring bravado of those first arriving to Achaea. My personal honour and that of the the Infernals guild is no concern of yours. I can only immagine that your interest stems from the fact that, as knights go, the Paladins are a nauseating failure, and pointing fingers is the best way you can alleviate the pain of your own failures.
Some paladins are quite respectable warriors and some are even fairly level headed, but I will match the mettel of my against yours any day, and you and I both know the result. I will remind you of something which I know you know, but perhaps have forgotten or chosen to ignore in your own daily walk: Real honour is not following a code of conduct, the rules of your diety, the city laws, or any other constrictures which can be written on paper. The real honour comes from within. You have it, or you do not.
We do have a code of conduct, (which is more than the paladins have I might add), and it is a mandatory set of rules for the guildmaster and the guild alike, but it is far from a complete foundation to base ones life on. The code, the laws of Sartan, and other writings, are a road to walk, but the art of Honour, is not just moving from A to B along the road (staying between the gutters), but walking the road with pride, style, and the respect of the other people who also are traveling. Small minded people at the side of the road, throwing mud, will not deter me, or the rest of the Infernals from making our own journey in the way we deem most prudent.
Good day Arch-Prelate.
-the Sinistar,
founder of the Infernals, and retired Guildmaster.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Sarapin, in the year 252 AF.
