In these days of endless ditraction and road rages, I, Jabbasfrog have fallen victim to a measure of discontent.
I came across an incident involving the changes of skills for my class and railed against the Gods.
THE MANEUVER WAS EXTREMELY IN ERROR
While my dissatisfaction with the changes came via a lack of awareness and a lack of prior information as to the nature of these changes, I must explain myself
When I left the fair land of Achaea the day before today, my skills were intact and when I arrived back to play, my skills were not so. I felt violated, as surely as a woman who had been subject to wine and a "mickey".
This was not the fault of the Gods, but being impatient and lacking an immediate response, I lashed out in anger via this public forum.
My patron Gods, whom I shall not name,...oh, what the hell, They are: Sarapis, Miramar, Twilight, and others have informed me that I am not being kind to their natures and characters. To which I agree, without coersion of any kind on their part. I WAS ANGRY ABOUT THIS MATTER (Not that my anger subsides easily over matters)! I chose the public forum to receive the additional attention such a forum would easily merit and give me. I wanted this matter aired and was getting little, if any backing from those of my Guild to whom I spoke with about this matter. The Great and noble and magnanimous Logos, Sarapis, Himself, offered to bring my skills up to par with my expectations. To which I am chagrined. He offered this after I'd posted (or prior to my reading His message - which is the case I cannot say as I was not keeping track of all things, but I did not post article #5715 while knowing that him loving and generous attention had been garnered. I would never have posted it, had I heard from him prior to that).
Never-the-less, I WAS IN ERROR IN BLASTING HIM AND THE GODS.
My take on that was much the same as that anyone would in ther netherrealm away from Achaea, ie. "Blame the Gods for the fickle fates", which I did.
I have since offered my apologies to the Gods personally whenever possible and made tribute to the Great, Awsome, and MOST NOBLE Logos for His benevolence and understanding. (*I might add that my extolations of the Logos, or any other God, is not bott-licking. It never is, never has been, nor shall it ever be. That is consistancy for me and my character in this Realm.)
I write this formal apology in the public format so that all the subjects of the Gods may see my earnestness and contrition.
Were I to not do so, I would not be due the earnest generosity of the Gods and their general kindnesses to me (which they have ever extended). In article #5715, I was "venting". Granted, one should never "vent" toward the Gods.
What would Zues or Hera do to any mortal so fickle towards them as to pay homage and then vent? They would fry them with lightning bolts, boil them in minotaur urine, send them on doomed quests, or any number of horrors that I TRULY wished not to elicit by venting in such a public forum. But my need for a response from Achaea, Achaeans, and the Gods was an earnest one.
I DO NOT, however, apologize for my earnestness. I only apologize for my lack of tact and taste in railing at the Gods as I would the mere mortals of my Guild who might be behind such schemes (not that I take the time to do so now).
AND, IF MY ARTICLE SEEMS TO ANYONE AS IF I AM EATING CROW,...SO BE IT.
Crow tastes much better than Jabbasfrog entrails with poison brule' and minotaur droppings for breakfast.
I shall not again address this matter in the public forum.
