Splinter Church...

Well first let me address Caled...I understand the problems of
creating a splinter sect of priests, but the reason I suggested
this is because there ARE no priests allowed in the guild who WOULD
create a splinter sect...thus all those that would become dark
priests become infernals or occultists instead.

As for your post Vega, I understand your point however I see that
you totally miss mine. I see how the priests/paladins and the
infernals/occultists are matched...and I have no doubt that this
would be the major arguement against a splinter sect but please
consider what a guild of Dark Priests would do to the playing field.

First if the Occy's and Infernals wished to be allies with the
dark priests, they couldn't destroy the shrines which give all
priests power. This would be a small but valuable victory for the
priests and paladins. In fact the entire shrine war would be
incredibly altered...and just because the two sects of priests
would have different ideals, doesn't mean that they can't be
united on several fronts.

Also with the introduction of the Magi...another magic wielding
guild and class...well the Occy's are going to have their hands
full battling for magical supremacy.

We need Dark Priests. Whether we'll get them or not is in the
God's hands.
