Now, everyone, while the stinking loads of bullsh*t you pile up here *can* be entertaining at times, when I have to read 30 posts every month I start to wonder what the point is.
The fact of the matter is, the Church has a couple people who work hard at their ideals. Tarlin and Perseus come to mind as a couple decent chaps. Now, they also have their fair share of blundering idiots, such as Caerid and Molotov, who ARE hypocrites and weaken the whole organization. So do we...I believe we have fewer, though, because we aren't afraid to use hard discipline. I'm not above killing somebody I find annoying, even if they're an Infernal. (Believe it or not, we DO punish people for dishonourable behavior, but you can't read our guildlogs. One example- I was GDF'd for vortexing people from NoT into Ashtan and teaming them).
I think everyone knows this...so let's give each other the respect we deserve as good enemies.

Now, as for Sartan's shrine, I find it to be a lovely logic trap. After all, the Church *does* claim to worship all Gods with their shrines, and there is not one Church member who follows Lady Eris or Lord Sartan. Gijan did follow Lord Twilight, but I believe he doesn't anymore, and is Gijan really the most devout Priest? He's a good one, but..well, you know.

The best defence you fellows seem to be able to get together is "If we're hypocrites for not wanting Sartan's shrine/altar in our guildhall then you're hypocrites for not wanting Aurora/Miramar's in ours". But, see, we don't CLAIM to worship all Gods as you do.
Respect, yes, and I respect the Lady Aurora very much. After all, I am mortal and She is divine, and I enjoy my existence. But She, and Her followers, believe in a different way of life than I do. The Lady Miramar I feel I have less conflict of beliefs with, as I do strive for Justice, though it is usually a harsh justice and I can not say if She approves of my methods. If not, then I will stop claiming to be just and honourable and think up my own word for it.

Anyways, I ramble...the point I am trying to make, and I will ramble again now be sure of it, is that it's true, the Church and its members are at times bloodthirsty and kill because they enjoy it. Nothing to be ashamed of. Part of being mortal I think. We mess up too, at times. We both need to clean up our acts somewhat, but I really believe we do more of the things we claim to. (Then again I can't see all the inner workings of the Church). I don't claim to be right in being 'bad', and you wrong in being 'good'. It's a choice everyone makes when they decide how they want to live their life, and both are valid. But I live off death and the thrill of killing, and so we slaughter each other every day, bathing in each others' blood...I do it because I enjoy it, and I think a lot of you do, too.
So admit your love of the great hunt, check your self-righteousness at the door and let's slice each other up.
