Sartan's Altar

I am placing my personal views about Sartan's Altar that he has
recently placed in the Basilisca. First of all it is NOT a shrine.
In Sartan's post he has named it an Altar. His Altar to be more
precise.

Secondly, I do not believe that the Church has made or posted a
formal statement/viewpoint on this issue. So all posts have been
personal posts that should not represent the Church as a whole.

The only difference between this Altar and say a spot marked by
any other God for offering is the fact that there is a formal Altar
placed in the area. This is what my mortal sences and abilities has
determined. Though they may be wrong.

They only other entities that could contest an Altar from my limited
knowledge and experience is another God. If one of the Patron's of
the Church don't like this Altar I am sure that He or She will discuss
it with Lord Sartan.

I have noticed that there are several areas marked by various Gods in
the Basilisca that might not be favoured by the Church or Shallam. I
am going to mention Twilight just as an example and in no way do I direct
or infer disrespect to this Holy Patron. Lord Twilight has several areas
marked in the Basilisca for offering. I don't see any difference between
Lord Sartan's offering area, Lord Twilight's offering area or any other
God or Goddess's marked area except that Sartan has decided to place a
visible Altar in or to make his spot more visible.

Until the Church has made a formal decision guided by our Patron I
personally respect our Lord Sartan's Altar. As I do all of the
Devine Dieties in Achaea.

Now the way I see it we mortals have the same decision to make.
If you wish to offer to Sartan at this location or if you don't.
That is a personal decision that each mortal has to make.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Mayan, in the year 249 AF.
