peace versus pacifism

Dear Eschereheye,
While its true you cant have complete pacifism without peace, you can have peace without pacifism.
While it sounds a little illogical to fight for peace, it is nonetheless possible.
Think on this...
If someone craves peace in the world, they will not get it by refusing to fight no matter what. They will most likely not get it by fighting, either.
But if someone wants peace in their own lives, they may get it through pacifism, though many, such as Xianty, have been having trouble with this.
If someone wants peace in their own lives, they can also get it by starting no fights, yet not being afraid to fight when accosted. In fact, such a person is more likely to get peace than most...

I dislike you telling people they do not know what peace means. In truth they do not know what your ideals of peace mean. They have just as much right as you do to come up with their own opinions. Your post was arrogant, and arrogance is the first step to breaking your vows of pacifism, and with arrogance in your heart you will never gain peace of mind, even if the whole world ceased to fight tommorrow.

In your final post, you told Stratos he was arrogant, perhaps he is, but your comment is not only arrogant in itself, but Hypocrisy, and Hypocrisy is perhaps one of the worst things you could ever do, for how can you live when you are living a lie?

To point out why Zaridel is perfectly right in placing peace in his title, it is because his idea of peace is far different to yours, and you dont have any right to criticise it. You say TRUE peace, and that may be so, but did Zaridel say he was a seeker of TRUE peace?
