Divine ascendance

Greetings,

A mortal ascending to the heavens only mere months after my post. Timely, indeed. Although I do not know Elentari I would like to congratulate her for the efforts she mustered to gain favour from the divine.

As I stroll the land in the company of many of its inhabitants I only hear words that compliment Elentari. Her friendship, her compassion, her dedication - qualities that all of us should someday try to attain. But I implore Elentari to try and retain her mortal sensibilities. To remember us, as she once was -- mortal.

Remember the difficulties of growing to adulthood and the hardships and tribulations that ensued.

Remember the pain and sorrows you felt as you watched friends being slaughtered in useless conflicts.

Remember the violence, the all-too-often useless violence. Violence that even myself have been ensnared in.

But too, remember the joys you have felt in your life.

Reminisce of your youth and the free spirit you possessed as a child.

Reminisce upon your first kiss, how light and fluttery it made you feel inside.

Most of all, remember your friends and your family. The bond you once shared with them. For as a member of the divine these things will be very difficult for you to hold to. You were once one of us. Make no mistake as you sit within the gardens being welcomed openly, a few will despise what you are - a mortal who ascended by Sarapis' grace.

I speak for only a few. We beseech thee to hold true to all of this and you will achieve something much more precious and great than the power you will wield. You will earn our mortal respect.

And a request from myself. Pierce the veil of Truth, so all our eyes may be open.

Copernicus, the patient one
