Evilution of species. The Sinistar has attained eternal life.

Good evening Achaea.
Much has happened in my life recently. In the wake of all the turmoil regarding Lord Twilight, His order members and the Infernals, comes an event much more to this narrators liking. My own death. For those of you who have known me since my induction to this world, know that my death, and ascension to unlife has been planned from the beginning. I spoke of it in a rather snotty post written in the arrogance of youth, 1897, again in 1996. Twice I plied my hand at verse, one of them being a letter to Gwenhwyfar as she started to court me and the thoughts of unlife contra the married life stirred in my head, public 2792. The other short poem is in the poetry section, and quite short, number 67 I believe. Fetzer, the auger, who is prone to prophetic visions has also foretold of this event in public 5195.

People who witnessed the event, are now asking many questions, which I can answer here as well as anywhere. No, I have not ascended to Godhood, yes, I will remain as GuildMaster of the Infernals, yes, I still have all of my memories of my former life. The greatest difference is that my body can change form now, from corporeal to noncorporeal. I can be solid, and interact with the world around me, much as a poltergeist or I can drift along the either and materialize a new place. With this ghostly form, my actual physical body will be of no use to me, for it will rot and decay. But my mind, the thing that makes me me, will live forever.

A brief account of the ceremony is given here, in first person. Shouts are given with names, because of a special skill I have in Vision, that recognizes shouters.
(Ashtan): You say, "For those of you who are interested, a milestone in the life of the Sinistar is about to take place in the Infernals guild hall. You are all invited."
(Ashtan): Tranquility says, "What would that be?"
(Ashtan): You say, "My death."
Lupine Halo, the Dreadlord says, "Remember the days Sinistar....when you said you would make an impact on Achaea...."
You say, "I have a job for you khejian."
You say, "Take two Infernals, and go kidnap someone."
You tell Transcendent Blademaster Khejian, Knight of the Hunt, "Gelinna, bring her to the sernants quarters, force her, but do not kill her. Valor will help."
Transcendent Blademaster Khejian, Knight of the Hunt says, "Valor, Amitation, follow me and let's be off."
Editors note: while Khejian, Valor, and Amitation are out, prominent Ashtanites continue to arrive at the Iron Citadel, and shouting starts.
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest shouts, "Fetzer!"
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest shouts, "HELP!!!"
Augur Fetzer shouts, "What's wrong!? Where are you!?"
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest shouts, "Infernals, everywhere!"
Augur Fetzer shouts, "If anyone harms her, I will bring the full wieght of judgement upon them to smite them from the plane!"
Augur Fetzer shouts, "Im coming!"
You shout, "Fetzer, If you cooperate, she will come to no harm."
Augur Fetzer shouts, "Who are you!?"
You shout, "An Infernal."
Augur Fetzer shouts, "You will reside in eternal pain if you harm her!"
You shout, "No, YOU will reside in eternal pain if I hurt her... thats why I have her."
Editors note: Fetzer and Gelinna arrive, and are put in separate rooms under guard. I returned to the holy place at the top of the tower, where the guests awaited.

Thakren, the Free Knight says, "Question: Isn't kidnapping dishonourable?"
You say, "Simple leverage. She is not harmed yet."
You clear your throat in an attempt to gain the attention of those around you.

You say, "People, you are about to witness history, in this very room. This room is sacred to Sartan, but He has nothing to do with what is about to transpire. I just like the ambience."
Sinistar looks solemnly about him, and with a gesture of his arms, bids you all to give him your attention.
You say, "Citizens, allies, my time has come. I have spent all of my life learning from the masters of the land. Tu'eras, taught me all I know about swordsmanship, Epicurus taught me about the ways of the world. Dacian, our guild trainer, has taught me everything he knows about Necromancy."
The wind outside the building picks up, and begins to howl around the roof of this third story room, making the loft timbers groan. Eerie noises seem to come from the stairwell below, giving the building a seeming life of it's own.
You say, "I feel that I have learned everything that I can learn in this life. That may sound a bit arrogant, but let me explain. The first person you ever meet, the first place you ever see, are special. The second face, the second place, are very new and different. The 30th place you see is just like the 10th. The 100th, is just exactly like all the others. The potential for learning becomes exponentialy less likely."
You say, "The time has come for more. Some of you have known me since I was a boy. Already at the age of 18, I knew that this day would come. Since long before the Infernals existed, since back when the Paladins were called Templars, this very day has been before me."
Gwenhwyfar sniffles softly.
Sinistar turns to Gwenhwyfar and says, "When you, in your own subtle way began to court me, we spoke of this day, and how it would affect us."
Tears fill Gwenhwyfar's eyes and begin to slowly run down her face.
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster nods slowly.
Sinistar turns to you all and continues, "This very day, I will become an immortal, or die trying."
Sinistar pauses a moment and peers slowly from one of you to the other, in the flickering torchlight.
You say, "I have done much research on necromancy, in the expansive laboratory of Blood Keep. Of all the ways of achieving eternal life, Vampire, Lich, and various other forms of unlife. I have concluded that the semi corporeal body of the spectre is the form that offers me fewest limitations, in proportion to actual benefits. Should my plan today succeed, I will exist forever more, century after century in a transient state between two worlds, that of spirit and that of flesh."
You say, "Much like a poltergeist, who can manifest itself physically in the material world, but I will retain all of my mental faculties, as well as general appearance.. To become a true specter and not a mindless ghost, I would need the aid of a God. I have asked two Gods here in the land, if they would aid me, and both have told me to find my own path."

Augur Fetzer tells you, "Im going to start breaking down doors!"
You say, "My research has lead me to an interesting conclusion. A psychic can be used as a medium to channel my wandering soul, as the necromantic spells I cast beforehand transform my remains, and ward me away from the Cave of Sarapis or the realms of Thoth. This medium, call it what you will, a conduit, a catalyst will keep my soul in my body as my body transforms, to the semi ethereal form it will have for the centuries to come.
The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
You say, "My guest is getting restless. Fetzer is telling me he will be kicking down my office door in a minute. I would like to see that."
Sinistar pauses as the weather worsens outside the protective walls of the Iron Citadel. He turns to the winding stair that leads down into the core of the building and shouts down the stairwell.
You yell, "Lightmonger, are you ready to do what is necessary to free your beloved?"
Augur Fetzer yells, "My hands are tied, what is my task?"
Sinistar nods gravely to his wife, Gwenhwyfar, and she nods back silently with a look of understanding.
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar leaves to the down.
Augur Fetzer arrives following Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster.
Sinistar takes six, very large wax candles from a roll of blue velvet cloth, each of them the size of a mans arm, and carved with delicate figures. He carefully places each on the floor in front of the altar, and with great care lights them with his tinderbox.
You peer at Fetzer unscrupulously.

Editors note: At this point, Gaia appeared before us. Normaly, the appearance of any deity would be a blessing, but at just this moment, She was probably the last face I wanted to see. To my great fortune, She was not there to rescue Fetzer or Gelinna, but to scold Drakul.
A light summer zephyr strums around you, the smell of sweet summer meadows drift past accompanied by faint musical bells, suddenly the breeze quickens to become a boiling turmoil of leaves, suddenly all is calm, and in the midst stands Gaia, The Earthmother.
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "Well well well. Isnt this a den of distastefull persons."
You say, "Fetzer, I think you know what to do right now."
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "Persons who may even consider it reasonable to kill in my temple. Persons who think my sanctuary is to be broken. Would the offender like to kneel and apologise now, or shall I destroy you for concealing yourself?"
You say, "Fetzer, you have a quest... I think Gelinna would like you to be alone just now."
Gaia thrusts his closed palm out towards Drakul, and begins to gently unfurl Her fingers. Suddenly, a noxious green vapour issues forth from his skin and Drakul coughs as he accidentally inhales it. Drakul blanches and turns white as a look of horror overcomes his face.
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "Are you going to admit it dear? Im still waiting."
Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness says, "I have slain in your temple Mi'Lady, but never because it was your temple. I slew those who fled from a fight and hid there."
You glare angrily at Fetzer.
You say, "Dont make any mistakes here Fetzer."
Augur Fetzer is little moved by The Sinistar's glare.
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "Hush Sinistar."
You say, "Of course my Lady."
Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness says, "I thought t'was Lord Sarapis words saying that those who flee from combat and hide in Deities temples were not under the protection of those Deities..."
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "Well you are incorrect Drakul."
Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness bows his head solemnly.
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "You have desicrated my temple."
Gaia, Goddess of Nature says, "I dont believe are paths have crossed before. Make sure they never do so again. I will not be as tolerant. Sinistar you may continue.""
Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness says, "No Mi'Lady, I try not to cross paths with any Deity, although, I do believe the fighting began with me being convocated into Your grove, but Thank you for your lenience."
Gaia, The Earthmother is suddenly engulfed in a boiling turmoil of leaves, suddenly all is calm, forlorn you stand, the smell of sweet summer meadows drift past accompanied by faint musical bells as the memory of Gaia lingers in your mind.
You snigger evilly.
Fetzer gives a pained sigh.
You say, "That was close. You did well Lightmonger. You know it would have been war on you and your wife had you blown that. You are not as dumb as you look. But we are not home yet.""
Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness wipes the sweat from his brow, and sits down before he keels over.

You prod Fetzer in the chest.
You say, "I know of you and your abilities. I know you can do what I need done. The question before you is, will you use your talent to give me eternal life? Or will you allow your wife to die at the hands of the Infernals, before your eyes, repeatedly, as long as the last Infernal walks the land?
Augur Fetzer slowly raises his downcast eyes and regards Sinistar, "Swear to me that no Infernal will again touch my wife!"
You say, "We have not harmed her. Be a good boy and she will be fine. You will too."
Augur Fetzer says, "I want your word..."
You say, "We will not harm her in the future unless she provokes it. Nor you. But I am counting on you provoking it, so it is a hollow promise where you are concerned."
You say, "We will not harm her."
Augur Fetzer nods slowly, "What is my task?"
Sinistar gives Fetzer a piece of paper, and says "You and I have both, but one single chance for success at this. If you fail me, you will fail yourself. This is the spell, you must read aloud, saying it at just the same time as me, the two of us together. Your hand must be touching me at all times. I suggest you do not stumble over it."
Augur Fetzer mutters gravely, "Forgive me, Gelinna, forgive me, Gods above! Let us finish this unholy task."
You say, "Yes, agreed. Unless you do something to warrant it, we will not harm her again."

Mr. Lucoster, folds his robes about himself and lays between the candles on the floor. The wind takes once again to battering the building, as it moans like a lamenting widow trying to scratch her way through the walls.
Sinistar looks up at Fetzer, standing at his side. Fetzer kneels, reaches a hand down and places it on the wrist of the first Achaean to attempt immortality without divine intervention.
You say, "My own partner, in life and in death, Gwenhwyfar, you know what to do?"
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster nods solemnly and says "I will not fail you. Do not worry my beloved, for if you do not come back to me, I will join you."
You say, "Infernals, you all know what to do if I am not back shortly after this is over?" You point accusingly at Fetzer. "Kill Fetzer repeatedly."
The corners of Valor's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.
Transcendent Blademaster Khejian, Knight of the Hunt says, "Gladly."
You say, "To the rest of you, should I not return, know that I have nothing to regret, my life is full. It has been interesting knowing you. But that is of course no matter, for I fully intend to come back. You may all wish to keep an eye on deathsight. My wife is to have my heart. Leave it for her to take."
Sinistar gives Fetzer a grim stare.
You say, "Fetzer, let us read aloud together, at a steady pace and do not break skin contact."
Augur Fetzer 's eyes become fixed upon the words before him, his body becomes rigid and you can sense the power of a new and most unholy being hanging in the air above him.
The two men begin to slowly read aloud in the tongue of magic, their voices echoing in the flickering darkness...'Med disse ord er Ekary Lukoster, kendt som Sinistaren magisk bandelyst fra alle ekstrajordisk planer, saa denne mands sjael aldrig maa finde evig fred i kropen og sinden er een, doeden er suspenderet, Sinistaren er luft og jord,
aand og koed, i live, og ikke i live. Ved skaeret af de fortryllede lys, doe nu Lucoster fra orkenen, og live evigt imellem den aandelig og den physisk verden.'
Augur Fetzer , his energy spent, falls limp on the ground and endures a short convulsion as the power ebbs from him. At the utterance of the final words, the five candles flare up, sputtering and hissing, colored sparks popping this way and that.
Sinistar looks up at his Gwenhwyfar with an unusually distant look in his eyes, nodding slowly. She bends down, kissing him softly and begins the final stage. Gwenhwyfar closes her eyes, her lips soundlessly uttering ancient words. She begins to conjure forth the spirits of death and decay, her gnarled hand reaching for her husband, tears in her veiled eyes.
Gwenhwyfar's attack rebounds off your magical shield.
You say, "Stand still Khejian." You thrust your arm out in a quick jab at Khejian. Your aggressive action causes the nearly invisible magical shield around you to fade away.
Gwenhwyfar touches you with her withered finger and an agonizing sensation ripples through your body. You wince in pain. Your flesh has withered beyond tolerance and your body can no longer support its own weight. You collapse to the ground and with a final sigh, stop breathing. You have been slain by Gwenhwyfar. Gwenhwyfar breaks down and sobs uncontrollably.
The soul of Sinistar says "So far, so good."
Gwenhwyfar collapses in a heap on the floor, unable to bear the pain any longer. Drakul strokes Gwenhwyfar's head in consolation.
The soul of Sinistar says, "Be comforted, my wife. It is not all lost. I am here. Keep an eye on me. I can see a room ahead of me."
The soul of Sinistar says, "Infernals, block the stairs. Do not leave, do not let anyone immolate me. I see people here. Shadows. I can not see if it is you here in the room, or if it is people in the realm of the dead. Just a moment. . . Entering."
Gwenhwyfar leaps at her beloved Sinistar's body screaming "Nooooooo to Yggsdrasil!! There is still time!!!"
Your body rapidly fades into the realm of spirit.
Editors note: at this moment, my soul went to a place called "Caught between the realms of spirit and flesh." Which made the following impression on me: There seem to be no boundaries in this space. Through the dark and swirling mists, one senses that eternity stretches in every direction, and each step you take leads to a place that looks just like this. You sense movement in the mists, as if many people with muffled voices pass by you regularly. One can not determine if they are the living who go about their daily business in the physical world, or if they are spirits moving to and fro in an equally distant plane. In and odd way, your own thoughts seem jumbled and far away, and your movements seem to be out of sync with your unfocused mind. As you stand here, you sense that you may have been here for minutes or day, you are not sure.
You tell Inept Infernal Nolan, Chef of the Iron Citadel, "Bring Gelinna up to the second floor landing."
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest says, "Where's Fetzer?" Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest looks away, a sheen of tears blurring her vision.
You say, "Were you harmed?"
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest says, "No."
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster says, "I hear him mother.... Ekary??? Where are
you??
Augur Fetzer staggers in as if drunk, holding his head in his hands.
Your body rapidly fades into the realm of spirit.
Sinistar materializes out of the realm if spirit.
You say, "I can see both realms."
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster says, "Mother, do you hear him as well??"
Augur Fetzer says, "I feel...tainted..."
You say, "You are tainted."
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest begins to cry as she cradles Fetzer close to her.
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest says, "What have you done?"
Augur Fetzer wears such pain on his face, "Please forgive me, Gelinna..."
Editors note: I asked Khejian at this point to help me with an experiment, by poking me in the arm repeatedly while my body transformed from flesh to spirit. His poking missed as my body faded from view, and then I solidified again.
You say, "Fetzer, Gelinna, you are free to go."
Augur Fetzer whispers to Gelinna, "Please...let us leave this place..."
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster says, "It didnt work, did it???"
You nod your head at Gwenhwyfar. "It worked fine."
Aife nods her head at Gwenhwyfar. "Yes hon."
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster says, "Then why can I not
see him?? I hear him..."
Gwenhwyfar sniffles softly.
Aife looks up into the air for divine inspiration.
Amazon Aife, Lover of Boom says, "Damn you Sinistar."
Aife mutters discontentedly.
"Bah!" you retort disgustedly to Aife.
You say, "She knew what I was going to do since we were children."
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster says, "Mother!! Where is he!?!"
You say, "To those of you who were witness, thank you... I am glad I could share my greatest moment with you."
Lord Valor, Death Knight of Twilight says, "A nice trade... Wife for power"
You shake your head.
Lord Valor, Death Knight of Twilight says, "The pursuit of Greatness must outwiegh all."
You say, "I am here my love." You tap Gwenhwyfar lightly, trying to get her attention. "I am dead, but alive. I would not leave you
Guild Mother of the Infernals, Gwenhwyfar Lucoster sobs "I hear him in my head.... mother help me!!"
You say, "My wife and I have to talk. Will you all excuse us?"
Editors note: At this time, my wife and I retire from the guests, and I find her totally unreachable. This does not however stop me from shouting a bit at Fetzer in my moment of glory.
You shout, "Is it fun being the only psychic around, Fetzer? *snigger*." Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest shouts, "Leave him be! Haven't you done enough?"
You shout, "I could not have done it without you Fetzer, or you Gelinna.... you are a wonderful victim."
2750h, 1700m ex-
Gentle Gelinna, Enchantress of the Forest shouts, "I hate what you've done to him!"
You shout, "He will get over it. Or not. I do not care." "If he had been a better prophet, he would have been able to avoid this." "Had he been a worse prophet I would not be what I am today, so I am quite pleased."
Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness shouts, "Don't you think death is only a small thing to pay?"
You shout, "I will live forever. Yes it cost, but the rewards are phenomenal."
You tell Morbid Prophet Drakul, Chaplain of Darkness, "I feel ... wonderful."

Thus begins the first day of the rest of Sinistars eternal life.
