The Songs of Battle

Written by: Valor, Apprentice Infernal

A short collection of short battle sayings, verses, and pomes. These were collected as I studed at the great library, deep within the halls of the grat Iron Citadel. This post is only for the enlightened warrior.

Enjoy.....

--------------------

When you meet a master swordsman,
show him your sword.
When you meet a man who is not a poet,
Do not show him your pome.

--------------------

It is not the same to talk of bulls as to be in the bullring.

--------------------

In the beginners mind there are many possibilities,
but in the experts mind there are few.

--------------------

If you direct you mind toward the bodily movements of your opponent, your mind will be taken by the bodily movements of your opponent. If you direct your mind toward your opponents sword, it will be taken by the sword. If you direct your mind toward trying to strike your opponent, it will be taken by waiting to strike. If you direct your mind to your own sword, it will be taken by your sword. If you direct it toward not being struck, it will be taken by the desire not to be struck. If you direct it toward your opponents attitude, it will be taken by his attitude. In short, there is nowhere to direct your mind.

--------------------

One world at a time

--------------------

We have to understand that the world can only be grasped by action,
not by contemplation
The hand is more important then the eye.
The hand is the cutting edge of the mind.

--------------------

Be the master of mind rather then mastered by the mind.

--------------------

When you can do nothing, what can you do?

--------------------

These are words to live and die by my friends and enemies. Train with vigour, train for life and through death.

Infernal Valor

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Ero, in the year 236 AF.
