CYRENE REJOICES - THE GRAND PARADE

Cyrene opens its portion of the Asterian Festival with a grand civic parade celebrating its people, culture, history, and Imperial identity.



DUEL OF THE VALLEY

WHERE: Muurn Lake: Treacherous beach before a lighthouse (8035)

A sacred tradition where Sentries become Shieldwardens true. Two shieldarms face off in a demonstration of loyalty, readiness, and sacrifice to assert their vows. Both victor and valiant emerge as full members of the Vashnarian Shield.

A nostalgic re-enactment of the many New Year's Eve celebrations put on by house Ty Beirdd hundreds of years ago. Audience members can expect to see images of past performers, hear the sounds of the orchestra, and a seasonal story with a twist.

Cyrene closes its festival observances by renewing the ancient Arcanist Rite of Sharing, bringing earth, air, fire, and water together in a symbolic act of unity and mutual giving.

read its four sides to learn about Cyrene's ethos.

- Watch the memory at the treacherous beach before a lighthouse in
Muurn Valley (8035) to see the beginning of the end of the Black
Wave that so brutally divided Cyrene forever into a before and
after the Wave that came to define so much of Cyrenian resistance
and strength.

- Visit a library and seek out a book on (A) Lord Phaestus, or
(B) Cyrene and read through it. Write your reflections on what
you learned.
