The Lance of the Eventide

Asa-thi lienakhar,

I write beneath the Moon of the Huntress, the undaunted and determined.

The Order of Lady Ourania is proud to count Page Taril Anladir as Her
Sage of the Waxing Moon. Page Taril's devotion to Her is as steadfast as
his duty to his people, and I count him among the most noble I've ever
met.

This chivalric journey he walks is difficult, but he is not the first to
walk it.

In years past, the Moon has counted those of Chivalry amongst Her own,
most notably Sir Questron and Sir Metzger. Both names are spoken in
reverence by Knights of the modern day.

Look upon us and you will see a gathering witches, but the Moonlit Path
offers its challenge to people of all walks, and always has.

In tribute to Trisagia's Knights of the past who glorified Her name, we
call upon the riders of today to join us in a spectacle of shattered
lances.

---------

On 5th of Chronos, 1012, the Order of the Moon will host a jousting
tournament. That would be one day after not the upcoming Serenade,
but the one following, right after the Moonlit Menagerie of Art.

We shall occupy the field in Aster Town, and in Delos for as long as the
Matsuhama Arena will allow it.

Prizes will be announced based upon the number of riders, as will the
format which will be either round-robin, double-elimination, or
single-elimination.

Regardless, the following rules shall apply;

--- Eligibility ------

1. Entry will be open to a maximum of 16, which would be a single
elimination tournament.

2. There is no entry fee.

--- Alternates ------

Chivalry demands personal sacrifice and in this tribute to Ouranian
Chivalry, we shall honour that by mitigating it.

3. Each rider is allowed an alternate to substitute for them should they
be drawn away either by duty or be unable to compete.

4. The prize belongs to the entrant rider - how you compensate your
alternate if you have one is up to you.

5. The alternate can not be otherwise competing in the tournament, and
may only be an alternate to one.

6. If an entrant rider must be away a short time, we shall adjust the
order of bouts to accomodate. This who share an obligation may be paired
up to minimize the number of delayed bouts.

7. As there is a limit to how long we can delay, riders who must recess
are encouraged to designate alternates just in case.

8. The entrant rider will bear consequences of the alternate's victories
and defeats.

--- Lances ------

9. In keeping with Delosian Jousting League practice, training lances
are to be used. Should you decline, that is your right, but you will be
competing at a disadvantage.
