Hello everyone! The upcoming Festival of the Moon has thus far offered plenty of opportunities to showcase your ability to create. However, we of the Moonlit path value more than just physical creations. Here we're all about expressing yourself in whichever medium calls to you most. As such, this next competition will focus on your silver tongues and wordsmithing skills. That's right - we're tapping into the ethereal, enigmatic, and ever-enlightening world of poetry!
For this particular showing we've settled on the framework of Haiku. This should keep things relatively uniform across contestants and make for a much more even grading. For those who don't know Haiku are composed of three lines following the template of 5-7-5 syllables, so this form also requires you to be concise with words and meaning both. Keep in mind this will be a public reading of each piece, so presentation is important!
Culturally-oriented folks from various cities will be joining us as judges, to ensure impartiality. I leave the subject open, so come speak from your heart (or mind if you're into that sort of thing). Those deemed to have the top three entries will be rewarded and it should be a splendidly fun time for all.
On to the details!
Where: The Garden of Whispers, Tasur'ke
When: The 10th of Aeguary, 2012. This will be one day before the Serenade.
How: Show up with your pieces! Or just make it up off the cuff. The benefit of the short form is that we can have plenty of fun with the showing.
I look forward to seeing all of you there. May our voices please the Nightcleaver and pay proper homage to her inspiration!
In Truth,

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Miraman, in the year 1011 AF.
