========================================
THE HERO'S CHALLENGE
A 1v1 Combat Tournament
========================================

A new tournament is coming -- The Hero's Challenge,
a 1v1 competition of combat, timing, and nerve.

Date: Lupar 13th, 1011
Prize Pool: 700 Credits + Entry Fees

Entry fee is 20 credits per participant. All entry credits
go directly into the prize pool, which is paid out at the
end based on points earned throughout the tournament.
This entry fee will be non-refundable once we have begun.

I would like to thank Judicator Puxi, Patriarch Ksha Rian,
and Shepherdess Nezaya Visindi for their donations
to the prize pool.

----------------------------------------
HOW IT WORKS
----------------------------------------

One participant is chosen at random as the first Hero. Any
other participant may spend a challenge to fight the Hero
one-on-one. The Hero earns growing points for each
consecutive win. They can cash out at any time to bank
their points safely, or keep fighting to build a larger
share of the prize pool.

When a Hero is defeated half their collected points are given to
the challenger, and the other half are safely banked. The
successful challenger takes on the mantle of being the Hero.

Each participant gets 2 challenges across the tournament.
Use them wisely. If no one challenges the Hero after a period
of time the Hero can seek their own match. This does not consume
a challenge.

At the end of the tournament, the prize pool is divided
among all participants proportionally based on their
total banked points.

We will capping participants at 10 participants as this is
a new format, and we are unsure how long this will take.

We will also be capping the full tournament to a maximum
duration of 3 days. If you do not use all your challenges by this
point you were not bold enough, and they will be forfeited.

***As this is a new format there is the possibility of changes
as we encounter the harsh realities of running this format.
There will be a panel of judges the day of with final say who
can amend the rules as needed.***

----------------------------------------
HOW TO SIGN UP
----------------------------------------

Contact Gaelyn to register or ask any questions.

A full ruleset will be made available before the event.
Participants are expected to read and understand the rules
before competing as this is a more complicated format.
They are just frankly too long for this post.

========================================
We look forward to seeing you
on the battlefield.
