Living Chronicles of Achaea: The Retellings begin

Hail, Sapience.

For years have chroniclers and storytellers across the realm tried and thought and toiled and trimmed their contributions to the Living Chronicles of Achaea. Many continue to, still. But many are also ready.

From now until the end of the Y1000 celebrations in Ero 1004AF, members of the Asterian Restoration will be presenting their Retellings - their perspectives on a historical event of significance - at locations around the world.

The calendar is still in flux, but any member of the Restoration should be able to provide an updated schedule for those with interest. However, you should also expect to see posts and hear announcements about upcoming Retellings in the near future.

The first of these Retellings is Faeryn's 'The Lightbringer's Return from Memory', which is scheduled for performance in Polyargos around the 4th of Glacian this year. More will soon follow.

As with the presentations in the Asterian Festival of History, I encourage you to witness as many Retellings as you can. For this is a time to celebrate remembering the past, and learning from every lesson it seeks to teach us.

Even if you believe you are already familiar with the subject being told, do not underestimate the capacity for new enlightenment when reexamining a tale through the eyes of another. Everyone holds a different piece of the puzzle, and only by collecting as many pieces as you can will you see the full picture.

A reminder as well that the Orb of Memories and the Spire of Ages are both still accepting contributions in the Asterian Restoration. If this is news to yourself, then a visit to the Restoration in the Asterian Peninsula will answer all questions.

Regards,

Jurixe S. Nithilar
