Just as those clad in the finest chain or plate do not shy from battle where its mettle might be proven, those who wear the armour of truth do not flinch to see its strength tested.
We would worry for a Squire who boasts of his prowess with a smith's hammer, but who fears seeing it worn in battle. So too might the observant find cause to worry now.
