What I would like you all to be aware of

Dear all,
my mind experienced quite some confusion regarding the post by King Tueras, announcing his and dryad Aliannas upcoming wedding.
Not concerning the wedding, which I was thrilled to learn of (Congratulations, you two!!), but on how the lovely gift exchange the couple thought of technically works.
In these times often filled with conflict and anger, I really love the gift exchange and I hope many mortals find time to participate.
Here is what I learned:
If you WALKTO the AALEN, the letter box is west of your arrival. As per instructions in PUBLIC 22842, you would then PUSH the BOX to receive a blank letter. (It looks different than other letters you might hold, so it should be easy to locate, in case you are holding other letters.)
You can then WRITE into this LETTER what you are fond of - topics, colours, shapes, scents, a quote - whatever might help a future participant of the gift exchange to find a gift for you that could bring a smile on your face.
I have noticed some people do not sign their letters, which is problematic, since the person whom the letterbox gives your letter to (at a later point) needs to know whom they are tasked to find a gift for. So, other than with the Logosmas gift exchange, all is in our mortal hands.
Yes, any gifts you wish to give to the recipient, you can simply send via a normal letter from any postoffice (saying since someone asked me whether the letterbox sends those letters out, or whether gifts would be exchanged during the wedding ceremony).
Of course, you could also share a few words with the recipient.
So, after you have composed your letter (the one the letterbox gave you), you PUT that LETTER INTO the BOX. Basically, you submit it, this way.
Then, you SHAKE the BOX, to randomly receive a priorly submitted letter by another person.
If you are lucky, this person shared some of their interests, and if not, at least their name & then it would be up to your research and creativity. Maybe you have never met this person, but maybe some hints could be found in their HONOURS, for instance?
Now, you might get a person as gift recipient you never heard of, someone you care little about or someone you even consider an enemy.
Maybe this is why King Tueras wrote in his post It is with a happy heart that I announce my marriage to Alianna, a dryad of Eleusis. You are all, of course, invited. Instead of any gifts or presents to us, I would invite you all to partake in a new tradition to celebrate our union - a unique gift exchange between adventurers. (&) Be polite, be kind, and remember the spirit oft he request something fun, loving and joyful, because marriage should be about all those things.
So even if someone like me (who has been enemied to Mhaldor all my life) would for instance happen to get Tyrannus Tabethys Aristata as gift recipient - to remain within the spirit of this giftgiving, I would then set out to find a gift the Tyrannus might like be it a crimson shirt, something siren related, something anticipating her soon upcoming 100th birthday, or a bloodly leg.
That last example was a joke, only!
If anyone has any questions, feel free to get in touch.
Best, Laras
