Civil Mind And Savage Heart

"The Palagian Mandate" - a volume which author Liella Desmijr of Cyrene celebrates on this PUBLIC board as "foundational text about the truth of the Sea and the Lord who embodies it".
Very understandable to share one's excitement about a document one must have spent a significant time researching and composing, while also shouldering the heavy workload of a Minister of the Interior, concerning a realm one feels deeply rooted in and passionate about.
Riahn Aegocerus uses the very same PUBLIC board to share his lack of excitement. Also understandable to those who know him - and to those who do not, have a look for instance at PUBLIC 22451.
Elmer Fortuna, Senator of Cyrene, speaks up, mocking Riahn Aegocerus post. Kog Terias, the Imperial Fist of the Sea Realm, composes a poem.
So far, all understandable.
Now begins the puzzling part. Two Knights, one of them the Knight-Regent himself, address the matter. Neither of them understood to be affiliated with the Sea, nor Cyrene.
As we learn, this might be due to Riahn Aegocerus having priorly engaged with the Guild of Knights, applying to join the Guild of Knights (a process which I would have expected to be considered a confidential matter, but I might have been wrong in that assessment).
One Knight, himself living in Eleusis, stating When the Chancellor of Cyrene and the head of the Order of Thurisaz both give their assent and endorsement of you, then you will have my support in your pursuit of knighthood.
Huh?
I encourage all to enhance their trust in Cyrene and the Sea realm that they can fight their own battles be it with cloaked assassins or without. By the way, Kasotus is still missing.
Let me close this with the following quote
With a civil mind and a savage heart, we carry our causes from the court to the battlefront and beyond.
(quote from The Guild of Knights, written by Knight-Regent Aerek Ancyrion on the 14th of Scarlatan, in the year 889 AF)
Best wishes,
