compassion

I would hereby like to plead -with all my heart- with all Those and those leading citystates / houses to reconsider rules / laws (if applicable) that lead to a by-default enemying of anyone leaving the according community, found to be oath-breaking.

I am a person who feels a certain solace about never having broken an oath.

I grew up in Shallam, the Jewel of the East.
After Shallam was destroyed, I - after many decades- eventually moved to dear Eleusis.

I only lived in two citystates in my 600ish of years of life. Lame or understandable? Even I do not know.

People who have known me for longer might even see me loyal to a fault. Loyal to a city that does not exist anymore, loyal to a beloved village that due to a rulechange could not keep me (with my hundreds-of-years-old Cyrene allyship) as villager.

I even continue to hold Cyrene dear in my heart, eventhough my allyship (the very one which got me ousted from Eleusis) was eventually taken away from me (rather apruptly) in a very confusing series of events (also, interestingly, related to my very heartfelt, genuine approach towards a new oath I had been asked to take).

So please, do not be mistaken: Taking an oath has always been a very serious matter for me.

I feel in these times of anxiety, we must remember compassion.

People might chose to leave their community behind for a vast number of reasons. It does not necessarily mean they changed their belief, or wish to become hostile. Some might even chose to take the horribly quiet life of a rogue.

Please, hold compassion dear.

You will NOT hear me feeling people who leave an org and slander it, attack it, backstab it should not be enemied to this org.

However, I appeal to You and you, to not by-default define the mere fact of leaving a community to be a crime.

As you know, I have a history of being absolutely flabbergasted seeing some people seemingly change their loyalties more often than they might change their socks.

That said, please do not send ME socks. I have an assortment of amazing blueberry socks which I wash and dry with high diligence. My feet are well taken care of!

With heavy heart, as usual
