To the denizens of Sapience:

Hail. Icy winter tidings to you.

After careful consideration, the Guild of Knights has determined that we have the space and supplies to make an offer we have not previously had the capacity for: the Guild, inheritors of the ancient chivalric lineages, cautiously offers an invitation to the denizen inhabitants of Sapience to train in the path of knighthood.

The benefits to yourself, and to your community, are immense and tangible; knights of any creed strive relentlessly towards lives as exemplars of civic and communal duty, to say nothing of the prowess demanded upon a litany of different kinds of battlefields. They make exception warriors, leaders, and keepers of tradition wherever chivalry takes root, and it is not without reason that nearly all of the adventurer-settled peoples have seen their councils and war rooms populated with the ranks of their own knights.

But knights to not spout from the aether. They are cultivated, grown, and sprouted from lineages that trace back thousands of years. Knighthood spreads through the passing down of these traditions and customs. And now, the Guild's next era sees us able to offer the invitation for some of you to take these traditions and customs back to your own people, your own places, your own communities.

To this end, the Guild is accepting applications to fill four of four possible beds we will have available in the Keep for new trainees.

Applicants may apply on behalf of another if they are a recognized leader amongst their people, otherwise should be sent on behalf of one's own self.

The ideal candidates should:

- Be physically resilient, so as to ensure they survive their training and are able to return to their community or origin.
- Be mentally tough, so as to be able to handle the rigours of heightened discipline and standards without losing their good senses or wisdom.
- Physically capable of wielding weapons; the Guild holds no ill-will towards beings made of unusual forms of matter, but prowess with a blade may be difficult to achieve if one has fire for hands.
- Not live somewhere that already has a local chivalric chapter; we mean no offense to the denizens of the city-states and Eleusis, but rather encourage the denizens of those places to seek those chapters out if they seek to walk the path.

Trainees who survive will learn:

- Chivalric customs and traditions of the ancient lineages
- Archery and horsemanship
- Combat training with one more of: swords, flails, morningstars, axes, shields, spears
- Animal husbandry (primarily falconry)
- Martial discipline
- Fundamentals of combat and civic leadership

Trainees should expect the path towards knighthood to take approximately twenty to thirty years if they work diligently towards their goals and survive the rigors of training. Once so, they shall receive their accolades in the knightly tradition before being released to return to their homes with honours.

Applications will remain open until the spots are filled.
