Mortals are fickle, adventurer-mortals even more so due to the stimuli-addicted lives we lead in pursuit of our goals.

Perhaps the High Warden is right. I, however, write to humbly suggest a third option that is within the Eleusian overture to relinquish.

I speak of course, of P.E.A.C.E.

Assuming that the information and technical data was thoroughly looted when given over, and assuming that Eleusis has the foresight to preserve it, then you need only ask your benevolent rescuers to transfer a copy into your care, after which you will have in your hands the means to deter not just Cyrenian, but any other city-state that wishes ill upon the Aalen.

Words and oaths become meaningless because the passage of time is merciless in its erosion of memory, and what was sworn in the heat of the moment can only be recalled dimly by a generation no longer present to appreciate its weight.

But with a weapon in hand you may exert your will as you see fit. True, it requires a little work, but I am confident that the foundational bones of our work may pave the way for you to insert the meat and blood within.

True peace and independence from anyone, anywhere, any time, when your stick is bigger than theirs.
