Life, Sapience.

There are Seven incontrovertible Truths, known innately by any who crawl upon the ground, soar through the sky, or swim in the water. All who live do so with equal measure of dread and acceptance of what cannot be denied, no matter how hard the veneer of civility tries to suppress these Truths.

It is through the Catechism that we learn to apply these Truths in a matter which the mortal mind, limited as it is, can comprehend:
Through Iniquity is HIS will cultivated.
Through Brutality are the feeble destroyed.

We see this to the North and the South, and against their many protestations, to the East as well. Yet it is in the West that we embrace the value of facts.

The trappings of society, of fortress walls and armed guards, have left you complacent. It is in these false securities that you revel, and it is in them that you atrophy.

Truly, Sapience.
You disgust me.

You are meant to be better.

Insofar as this, I make an announcement:
In Sarapin of 985, Mhaldorians will be offered a chance to prove that they are better than the lowlanders I so despise. Those with the constitution and spine will become Dauntless, and remain so until Sarapin of 986. In that time, those who have undertaken this task will not hide behind the walls of Mhaldor, returning home only for business that cannot be executed elsewhere. Do not attempt to litigate the specifics with me; I care nothing about your opinion.

When they do, Sapience; when they pour forth from the gates of Mhaldor and until they are offered to return home; I offer you their lifeblood... if you can take it. No challenger is to be refused. No fight is to be considered too great. Let the masses show Mhaldor that they are worth more than the dirt they dare to trample upon.
