Lets try this again, shall we?

Lets try this a final time, shall we. If this does not work, then I will simply have to give up hiring scribes in general and allowing them to be purged from the realm.

Sir Batista, and the Knighthood Council,

I desire to clarify a few things based on current posts that have been plastered upon these boards. I also wish to give a bit of history myself, upon why a few changes were made within Eleusis, mostly why the Order of Ithmian Knights was discharged and the Gaian Knights came into being.

As I dwelled within the branches of the Village, I desired to see more concepts that I believed in come to fruition. As I was the first of the Hashani Knights, having went through and acquired the tri-stone ring of Knighthood from each of the modern, yet now gone, Houses that use to embody Knighthood, I knew that a standard concept of Knighthood would never work within the Village, at least, not during the rise of the Savage Village. Perhaps now, but that is not my place nor my purpose today.

Knighthood over the modern era has formulated behind specific concepts. Duty. Loyalty. Chivalry. Besides these three basics, there us usually a fourth, for whatever reason, usually detailing that particular Order or branch of it. Runelore, Strength, so on so forth. The Gaian Knights, while calling these things different from traditional names, still held within in these concepts. Simply, broadened.

Metamorphsis, Savagery, Kinship and Glorification, while based on different names, as per the Queen Herself, still resounded within them the basics of Knighthood, simply applied at a Nature level rather then one that was steeped in the traditions of Iron and Stone. These concepts required complete and utter submission to the Queen. Her whims were our will. Her desires our duty. Her ambitions our goals. Be it She wished us to perform tasks that, to some, are pointless and others are cruel, it was to show our devotion to Her will. Killing a thousand butterflies, after all, is a boring task that produces nothing of value outside of teaching obedience to even the most insane concepts put forth. Challenging our fellow Villagers in what we felt was their failure of duty to Nature was simply us opening avenues of growth.

In no fashion was it cruel. It was not rude. It was not cowardly.

It was obedience. Moreso then the Coven, Council, Scions or Kin, the Gaian Knights were to be the ultimate arm of the Queen, without hesitation to spread the final Cycle of Her realm to all that stood in Her way. After all, the motto of the Knights, if I recall correctly does state, All shall Kneel to the Queen.

While these concepts seem to have been taken out of context in a lot of ways, the final mission of the Gaian Knights was quite simple. Death. Purge. Deliver those that stand in the rampaging ways of Nature to the pile of compost, and simply await for the next command of the Queen. In many ways, Sir Batista, it is no different then what your own House once was for the Lord Sartan. We simply made it harder, more... obvious that while our fellow Eleusians were safe from most of our wrath, even the most diligent of workers in Her realm can be affected by the apathy of laxity, the politics of irrevelence, and the drowning waters of stupidity. And it was our job, hopefully, to prevent this.

Now, I have no ambition or desire to get into a protacted nor lengthy discussion on what it is now, or what other Orders or concepts have sprung up within the Village within the last ten years since my departure. I left for reasons I will continue to keep to myself, and as an absent father will do at times I still observed yet said very little nor involved myself in the politics and tides that sweep the Village over the last decade. As all cycles go, Savagery is slowly being mutated into a horrible crime, squashed by those that once again desire to remove the century old policy of savagery back into the idly pacifist nature of loving all. This is fine, it is their business and their own votes. They choose to go this way, and as such, this is how it will be.

But, as my name has been said a few times, and those things I did create within Eleusis are being discussed, I desired to clear the history and the goals and state that while I no longer dwell within the Village, then Gaian Knights were crafted by Knights, alongside Truax, as my wife and I discussed concepts, with the vision of the Queen always gazing down upon us as we did as we did.

I do hope, Knight to Knight, this hopefully clears up some of what it was meant to be, regardless of what was presented to the Council, though as I reviewed much of what was presented even while I dwelled within the Wildewood and attended to my tea and writing, I know it was still something to be proud of, even if there was no lineage Knights upon which to ties it to the current Guild with.

As far as the others. Casting stones towards one that has worked exceptionally hard, not simply to aquire power for themselves, but to uplift the Village as a whole is poor practice.

If these stones are being cast, they should be thrown towards Andraste and myself as well. It was Andraste that first started to assist bringing the Aegeans, upon which the lady in question was celebrated as they joined the Village. It was myself that granted her the powers within the Scions, as she truly showed, guided, and taught many during her years as Tender, writing many of the rituals you perform today, and even taking upon herself any task given to her, regardless of whom it was from. But, even the most selfless of us have limits, as my leaving ten years ago proved, even as exodus of the Triad of the Scions has proven again.

Regardless of the hate we collect over our years because of our direct passionate work that we perform, very few, though I do acknowledge there was more then simply myself, within the Village has done what we did to bring Eleusis to the point upon which not only was the Queen actually welcomed back into Eleusian society, but She had two very distinct Houses, ready to serve at Her will, alongside a population that actually, almost in a miracle, embraced theocracy and became the nexus of all Nature itself.

So please, while you continue your banter and your hate, your petty words and your rallying cries of why we are so bad, at least be bold enough to acknowledge what is fact.

Without us, it's highly likely you would not be in Eleusis, but plying your trades in other places.
Without us, it's highly likely the Queen would have washed Her hands upon that which was Eleusis a hundred years ago.
Without us, it's highly likely that Eleusis would never have become the powerhouse that it was.

Acknowledge those that built what you have taken and crumbled like dried leaves in your hands.

As far as my old Tribe of the Scions. Stay Savage my friends, and do not allow the cycle you are going through to destroy the legacy that was built.

Now, back to my tea and writing. I do so hope that you all have a delightfully wonderful month.
