Costumes and Mayaween parties

Greetings, Sapience.

Some of you, in your ignorance of true art, have approached me with a few questions regarding my costuming skills. Rather than answer individually, I will address you all at once and hope that this instructs more than a handful of you at a time.

Q: Why should I buy one of you custom costumes instead of making it myself? Or, Gods forbid, buying a premade costume like a tasteless peasant?

A: We will first assume that you can appreciate craftsmanship. My costumes are far superior to anything the average tailor could make, and certainly miles ahead of readymade, mass-market drab.

For one, you will be much more convincingly disguised by my costumes than you could ever hope to be otherwise. If you wear one of the common costumes available today, it is quite easy for someone else to discern your identity underneath it. Not so with my craftsmanship! It will take considerable effort to find your identity, and those expending this effort will likely be ousted by our beautiful hostess herself.

And now, most importantly, and this I highlight: YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE PARTY WITHOUT A CUSTOM COSTUME.

I will repeat this.

YOU MAY ONLY ENTER MAIM DE VERMIIS'S MAYAWEEN PARTY WITH A CUSTOM COSTUME CRAFTED BY MYSELF.

Q: Can multiple people have the same costume?

A: No. Not only that, but there will only be one 'type' of costume allowed total. That is, there will be only one ghost, one dog, and so on. Now, if someone wants to be a spirit instead of a ghost, or a sheepdog instead of a wolfdog, that may be possible.

This also means you will greatly benefit from submitting your desired costume earlier, rather than later! First come, first serve and so on.

These will also not be resold anywhere - they are entirely unique to you!

Q: Do I need a custom costume if I sign up for the murder mystery?

A: Assuming you are accepted, no. A costume will be provided for your role.

Q: 10,000 gold? This is too expensive!

A: You will find that, given the earlier questions, this price is a steal, darlings.
