A Little Story

Cyrene. Shirszae. Quite frankly, I don't give a damn what happens between the two of you. Make up already or kill each other. The results are not my concern. History is rife with wars, enemies, betrayals, cities razed and risen. Such will happen again.

However, there is one thing I would like to address and thus story time commences.

There was a young child who went into a city every month to do one thing. Kill a drugdealer. Now, that child had never been paid attention to before. She was small and never meant any harm to nobody. Then one day, something happened.

She was told her kind was not allowed there.

Now, this puzzled the young child who had no knowledge of such a thing. Her kind? She was of a certain race, a certain class, and lived in a certain city. Certainly she had never harmed anyone other than the drug dealer or hunted animals! Yet when she questioned about it, she was attacked without warning.

Why?

Blind hatred.

The deeds of Hashan and Targossas will forever be ingrained in our minds, bodies, and spirits. As though a chaotic wind flowed through the world in sanguine hues, so too did things change for many of us. Cyrene became harder as it needed to in order to survive. Targossas learned humility and how to stand up for itself. Hashan learned how to be Hashan. Now, the children in the latter two of those areas learn one thing...

Cyrene is forbidden.

They are not allowed within your walls because of crimes they did not commit, because of things they took no part in, and because they happened to leave the pygmies and ended up in a place.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Aeguary, in the year 822 AF.
