I'd just like to offer congratulations from the east on your recent appointment.

It is heartening to us in the Dawnspear - as it should be to all of Sapience - to see the grip of the Sky servants of the Cult loosened on the deplorably styled Seat of Chaos. We have seen one of Sapience's oldest cities fall already in my lifetime, and it has remained a tragedy how the Court of Golgotha, even after his downfall, has been allowed to so completely infest your home.

Despite your Lord renouncing His Patronage, this new step for Ashtan represents promise: that His Army has tired of defending the yapping dogs of the Mad God and the deranged followers of the Storm, and that true Freedom can once again rule over the Bastion of the North, and reasonable protocol can be restored.

It will be a long road ahead for you all to redemption. I have every faith that the Soldiers of War have the fortitude to walk it, though, even carrying the rest of the city on your back as you have so long been forced to do.

I only hope that you will not fall like the useful puppet that you replaced.
