The Seleucarian Championship Games!

Sapience,

As the Seleucarian games continue, we have finally reached our own championship events! These events will be a chance to compete for glory and prizes, but most importantly of all, they will select our Seleucarian Champion, a true champion for the coming years.

Now that we have seen the Tsol'teth's attempts, it's more clear than ever that they aren't worthy of being considered a true part of the long tradition of these celebrations.

They have required that serious contenders pay a price to them for a chance in all events. They have held the games just to make themselves stronger, pushing near half the world to sit them out. They have introduced a new game that runs off of chance, instead of skill, risking someone winning their games by dumb luck.

And it seems that the Tsol'teth don't even intend to declare the actual winner of their own games their champion, and may well make excuses to give the staff to a city more friendly to them. Whatever you think of the Tsol'teth, it's obvious that these games have not been held with any real respect to the traditions of these anniversaries.

It's time to raise a true champion of the eight hundredth anniversary of the Seleucarian Empire's fall.

We need a champion chosen not by giving up samples to the Tsol'teth to take part, or in massive games of chance, but one chosen as they always have been, by every city coming together to celebrate our shared history. We need a champion that can represent our traditions and the best Sapience has to offer as we go into the new era ahead.

These games, and Seleucar's Legacy, are not about the staff. In the first Black Wave, the purpose that the empire was founded for, the staff could not be found, and Seleucar stood victorious with out it. Then, as now, the staff didn't matter. There will be other chances to compete for that staff, but this anniversary, during this Black Wave, is the only chance that anyone will have to take the title of Seleucarian Champion, to become a champion of Sapience when the continent needs them most.
