Festivi Noctus KoTH

Greetings,

This post is to announce the first event to take place next month, Sarapin, at or around the Serenade in the Delosian Arena. (For those of you who were told it was the month after, I apologize for the miscalculation) Within this post I will be explaining the purpose of the event, and how it will be played. I will repeat the information at the event it's self, and if I am not there, then there will be someone in my place to explain how it will be played.

Festivi Noctus is based upon the history of the Dark Father. Each event will take place around some portion of Achaean history that He was either a part of, or was about Him. Our first event celebrates the year 222, His patronism of Hashan, and her subsequent expansion.

The Dark Father became patron in the year 222, offered to him by Darthus, the first Seneschal of Hashan. The Dark Father pushed the city to expand, encouraging the citizens to bring their families to the city. As the population grew within the city, so to did the markets and the city itself. The Dark Father even brought Rurin to the city and helped him set up shop.

At that time, the city found a need to expand beyond her current walls. The forestals were angered over the destruction of the Northern Ithmia and began a war with them. Hashan attempted to compromise with the forestal Deities several times, but it was not until Lord Twilight stepped in to speak that Lord Lupus called off His werewolves.

All of this can be found within the Hashani Library which is housed in the Citadel. There is a whole section on history, including a book entitled "History of the Crown - Volume I". Feel free to come and read up!

Now for the game! As stated above it was essentially Hashan against the forestals. Therefore the rules are as thus: as a KoTH has two teams Red and Blue. The red team will represent Hashan, the blue team, those against progress. We will gather at the arena before the event begins to hear a few words about the event and to hear the rules once again to make sure everyone understands. A shout will go out across the lands to draw the warriors to us. Come one and all.

The winners of the KoTH will all take five points. Since there is only a second place within the KoTH all other participants will take three points. These points will all be tallied, as I said previously, at the end of the Festival.

The Dark Father teaches us that everyone shall play a part in His Great Work, and that harmonious coordination shall see it fulfilled. With this, each team will need to work together to gain glory for their team. I look forward to seeing you all ready to participate next month!

Good luck!
