persecutions

Now it starts. I have to give warning to you, people of
Achea. For far to long we have been consumed with our own
little personal vendettas and the petty fight arising between our
guilds, to sense the real danger facing this fair continent
But let me tell you I am ignorant no more. And it is my
hope that neither will you. The association calling itself the
church of Achaea has finally shown its true face.
Being unfamiliar with the evils that infest that mob at the
top. I have tried, in the past, to be as courteous and friendly
towards the organisation, I believed tried to keep an aura of
honour surrounding them. But I was proved wrong in the
worst of ways.
Lately it seems the church has been planning to expand
their foothold in the land. Building shrines wherever they can.
They seem to have decided to use the unfortunate outbreak of
war between the city of Ahtan and the Kharon guild as a
change to put all the continent under the ironclad boot of the
hierarchy.
To forward this cause they have, as any oppressive force in
history, been seeking scapegoats. And I have been chosen.
Being just near one of their powerbases, or shrines as they call
them, seem to be a crime not only punishable by death but
punishable in a way that leave the spectators believe that any
resistance to the church will be met by a force so
overwhelming that only the gods can oppose it,'
Where has their honour gone. Where has the ideals that on
mans fight truly belongs to that man and no one else. It seems
that their new definition of an honourable fight is between a
charge of Templars and unarmed peasants.
Being naive in my beliefs, I tried to accommodate the
church and leave it alone. Only to be rewarded by a sudden
onset of several Templars supported but their dishonourable
priestlings. I never believed that the ones always opposed to
the thought of fighting battles where one person was attacked
several would fall so low themselves. But it happened.
Therefore I leave you with this thought, fellow Achaeans, I
might be as good as dead, and you probably couldnt care less.
But who will the church decide to persecute next?... You
maybe. So if you dont want to be involved in any fights, I beg
you, at least be careful in your dealings with any members of
the church, for one minute they will try to befriend you, but the
next they will slay you, accusing you of some imagined
crime.

And this seem to be the new commandments in the church.

Do not attack any one person with the force of two or
more, unless you belong to the church,
Do not attack anyone younger and less powerful then
yourself, unless you belong to the church.
Do not attack without reason, unless you belong to the
church

The above is from my own experience and from observing
several assassinations originating from the church.

farewell fellow Achaeans, for I will probably not live for
much longer, being chosen as a scapegoat.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Miraman, in the year 213 AF.
