notes to self from the roads

Targossas

I told a paladin mid-prayer,

"Maybe the Evil youa e purging is just your fear of being happy"

He didnt blink.

He Then asked if I wanted to meet Redemption.

I said no.

He introduced me anyway.

Mhaldor

I said I embraced Suffering.

They asked how.

I said, "I write poetry"

There was a long pause.

Then one of them whimpered,

"Thata more evil than anything we do"

Cyrene

I performed a piece called

"The Invisible Weight of Expectations"

Someone gasped.

Someone else drank three glasses of wine

and said they finally felt the invisible weight -

mostly in their liver.

Hashan

I asked if I could major in "Ambiguity"

They told me to leave.

I asked if that was a firm no

or a mysterious yes.

They didna respond.

The guards did, though.

Eleusis

I once made my way to the big tree to tell it all my problems.

It went gray.

A branch fell off.

A druid muttered,

"Great. An invasive species"

Ashtan

I told them I felt a chaos without shape or meaning.

They clapped.

It was just constipation.

I felt like a prophet.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Chronos, in the year 998 AF.
