Dance

Watching your heart break
The shards piercing mine
Sinking deep to bleed
Breaking the illusion that I'm fine

I can't do this anymore
This dance of joy and pain
It's tearing me apart
It's driving me insane

How do I keep going?
When all I see is tears?
How do I still your heartache?
Chase away your fears?

You think you take the joy
But I know it's really me
I'm the one at fault
Why can't you just see?

I can't stand this dance
Of hurting you, causing pain
Bringing you such joy
Then being your bane

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Miraman, in the year 878 AF.
