Dear Fighter

Rest your eyes, dear fighter.
Recline in my arms,
and let your heart feel lighter.
So many battles fought
against the darkness of this world,
and the darkness of your mind.
Don't let these trials
make your spirit unwind.

Ride high on favorable tides.
But should the world fail you,
tossing you to the rocks below,
this I hope you know.

Favorable times will come and go.
Even Divine favour fades, melting like snow.
But, through all your wanderings,
all your forays on the field,
my love can be your anchor,
and my heart ever your shield.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Scarlatan, in the year 873 AF.
