My Shield

Written by: Silversmith Isandria Helisdottir

When I am lost, you are my compass
When I am sad, you are my smile
When I am confused, you are my calm
When I am hurt, you are my healing
When I am weak, you are my strength

When the sun seeks to scorch me, you are my shade
When the sea seeks to steal me, you are my shore
When the dark seeks to shroud me, you are my dawn
When the storm seeks to toss me, you are my safe harbour
When the winter seeks to freeze me, you are my warmth

In all things,
In all ways,
You are my shield.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Sarapin, in the year 868 AF.
