A Star Falls

Written by: Ielana Lighthawk-Montenegro, Sparrow Shieldwarden
Date: Sunday, January 13th, 2019
Addressed to: Everyone

A star up in the skies
Doubts the value of its life
"No one is going to miss me if I die."

It falls from the heavens
Devoid of grace even
Alone

Astronomers are distraught
The miracles and guidance this star has brought
Gone without a thought

Children stare up at the skies
"Momma, why did the star die?"
Parents left to wonder why

Each of us is a star
Thinking we ain't seen from afar
People care about who we are

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Glacian, in the year 790 AF.
