Life

As new faces replace the old I cannot help to think,
My little world,
Family and friends,
Has been brought to the brink.
You see i used to stay awake for weeks at a time,
One, two, or even three,
But my life and long absences has made me abandon those who needed me,
Their voices and kindness mere echoes now in my head,
Life passed them by,
A few of them now dead.
My greatest regret is how Ill never again laugh and cry with many of the people I loved,
I can no longer fight the bitterness and sadness in my heart,
The part of me i shoved,
Deep, deep, down it went but never disappeared.

But i guess...C'est la vie.

To those of you with ones you love i have some advice,
Cherish what you have,
Treat them right and nice,
For one day you might find yourself clutching at these precious people,
Only to have them disappear like the smallest grains of sand on the windiest days from your grasp,
Never to be seen again.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Miraman, in the year 734 AF.
