Countenance of Truth

Written by: Strider Machiavelli
Date: Tuesday, May 11th, 2004
Addressed to: Everyone

The moon's visage does halftones bestow
Upon the grass and clouds and snow
A paradigm renewed so bold as once a month to set alight
Restore true vision beneath the night

The sun's adultered mask does shine
Subtlest brume acrost the eye
That oncewhiteness is now belied as dappled in a colored light
The sun provides before the dawn of night

Though unrefined and vespered 'neath the moon
Clear truth is misinterpreted as gloom
That in the halflight all is finely groomed and set aright
That we glimpse dark truth rather than lies of light

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Aeguary, in the year 363 AF.
