Return of the Moon Goddess

Beneath the soft illumination of the night sky, the Wyrd smiled. Stars
were moving into position, and with the moon's light spread wide over
Sapience, the pattern would soon weave itself into completion.

It hadn't been hard for the Wyrd to initiate the changes. Ghosting
through shadows, she hastened through the city, moving from house to
house and whispering in ears. After the glamours had dropped, exposing
the damage within the Arbor Crystallina, the goal for Hashan and the
Ouranians was clear: to end the fracture that separated the Goddess
Ourania from Sapience. Alarm spread through the houses as the Wyrd
approached with gifts of mystical moonstones and part of a prophecy.

Each moonstone was placed within a sacred room in each House's estate.
The Arbor Crystallina in Tasur'ke continued to break, releasing streams
of spectral energy into the skies, but the energy was now absorbed by
the moonstones, which glowed and flashed with ethereal light. Day turned
into night, and into day once more. It wasn't until the late hours of
the second month did the tree shatter completely, littering the Garden
of Moonlight with dust.

Then, in the dead of night, a deep ritual began to take shape before the
Dome of the Triad in Hashan, drawing out the mystical power of the
moonstones and forming a tenuous shadow of the Arbor Crystallina.

The whole of Hashan held its breath as a glimmer of light sparkled in
the sky, its path lit by phantasmal flames as it streamed downwards,
burning a blazing trail in the darkened firmament. Unwavering in its
course, the falling star plunged toward the very heart of the Crown of
the Ithmia; when it struck, the force of the impact shook the world, yet
no damage was done.

Ethereal shards scattered throughout the city streets, and rippling
lights coursed through body and building alike. Slowly the fragments
were pulled toward the tree, piecing together bit by bit until the
entire shell of the tree was reformed and alight from within. The Arbor
Crystallina stood whole once more, resplendent in its lucent beauty.

At the first, timid touch of a finger upon the crystalline bark, a mote
of light shone deep inside the tree, pulsing softly. The spark shimmered
through the branches and leaves of the tree, finally leaving the crystal
confinement and ascending into the sky. It was there, high above the
Dome of the Triad, that the sparkling light erupted into the luminous
form of Ourania, Goddess of the Moon, returned to her home once more.
