Moments later, Andelas began to jerk and shake before suddenly falling
dead at the hands of Jerle. As Jerle whisked the corpse of Damian away
to be resurrected, Naiad continued to speak to Hycanthus and he informed
her that the only way he would release the prism he now held was if he
was given the journal of the vampire lord Zsarachnor so that he may use
the information within it.

Jerle quickly moved to the dungeon of Azdun hoping that he could steal
the journal and return to Hycanthus in short order, only to find that
the journal was not in its usual place but instead being held by the
Vampire lord himself. Jerle also noticed that Zsarachnor held the last
prism and asked the undead being what he would like in exchange for the
two items. Zsarachnor informed Jerle that he would not be parting with
the prism, but the journal meant nothing to him and if he brought the
corpse of Belladonna and Derryk to him that he would turn the journal
over to him.

With that information Jerle quickly gathered a large force of Shallamese
including citizens such as Trenia, Calhoun, and Damian. This war party
arrived at the keep of the Queen of Vampires and quickly dispatched her
and her companion returning the corpses to Zsarachnor.

With evil delight, Zsarachnor took the corpses of his defeated enemies
and as Jerle requested that he keep his half of the bargain and turn
over the journal to them, he instead told them that he would not be
doing that and would require another task of them. He informed them that
the prism he held was inside of the chest, which sat in the corner of
his chamber, but the key to it, had been stolen by one of Belladona's
minions. He had thought that she or Derryk held the key, but told them
that she must have given it to one of her other pets to guard. They
deduced that Belladona's pet dragon must be guarding the key and made
plans to get it from the beast after they had secured the journal.
