With the subsequent dispersal of the Goddess of light, Handel the
Choirmaster found himself the harbinger to a long forgotten prophecy
that he thought to be nothing but a myth. The prophecy stated that there
would come a time when the Lady of Light would be no more, and the Light
would be endangered of fading forever. The only way to stop this is if
the man made god would come and take the three Prisms of Light and with
them accept the mantle of Lord of the realm of Light.

The prophecy began to unfold as many of the inhabitants of Sapience saw
the shimmering form of what was though to be Aurora appear within the
sky before it burst into three streaking beams of light which held the
three prism. Each prism struck in a different part of the realm and was
quickly gathered by three completely different people. The gypsy,
Hycanthus the old mage and Zsarachnor, the Vampire Lord all held a piece
of the now dispersed goddess and each planned to use the power contained
within the prisms for their personal gains.

Among the citizens of Shallam, there were many whispers and thoughts of
hope that the Goddess of Light would return. With such excitement
abreast within the city, none noticed that Handel had fallen into a
state of near madness. It was not until the one known, as Qwilleran
happened by to deliver some orphans he had found wandering Shallam did
the state of Handel be realized. Qwilleran quickly called in the aide of
Isildur, the one time Arch Prelate of the Church and current leader of
the clan known as the Devout. They began to comfort the broken man and
asked him of what ailed him. In his state of near madness, Handel
explained to them the meaning of the things that had happened up to this
point and told them that he believed he knew were each Prism was.
Though reduced to being nothing more then a stuttering mess, Handel
relayed that he saw that one prism sat with a old woman with a field
near a road, an old man within a old shack and before he give the last
location, he broke down screaming. After being comforted and helped by
the gathered masses, Handle told them that the last prism sat with some
dark and evil being and he was unable to tell where.
