Arrival of Jalin, the tanner

Some time after the earthquake which revealed the Chorsha Underground,
after-shock tremors were felt across the land as the earth settled
itself once more. However, the sounds of disturbed hissing echoed from
the depths of the Kinsarmarian sewers, as serpents streamed forth from
the sewers, ranging from massive behemoths to tiny, poisonous serpents,
they plagued the streets of the city before a hastily-formed group began
to hunt them down.
During this, a tanner by the name of Jalin arrived at the gates of the
city, having been drawn by the reports of the huge serpent population.
Apparently Jalin is most fond of the skins of snakes, though we have yet
to see precisely what he uses them for. Regardless, he began offering
sums of gold for the serpents, including those still dwelling in the
sewers. Questioned by the Duchess, it was found he planned to stay, and
can still be seen wandering the streets, perhaps searching out more
serpents, and paying for any given to him.
Penned by my hand on the 6th of Bellum, in the year 406 AD.
