Chaos Continues

Events continued to transpire as Pandora, Goddess of Mischief,
approached the Living Spire in an attempt to control the chaos radiating
from it. As She focused, chaos rebelled, striking Her and pushing Her
away. The Goddess, clearly shaken, made Her way to the Eileithyian Tree,
crawling into its branches next to Her brother Pandemonium.

Shortly thereafter, the visage of Lord Twilight Trismegistus was seen
across the heavens, wielding the Soulgem of Gladius in His hands.
Shouting His intentions to reward Gladius, He tossed the Gem towards His
obelisk, where it dissipated in a burst of darkfire. The obelisk, in a
surprising turn, shouted its rebellion against the will of the Master of
Lies, repelling Twilight until He faded into Oblivion. The other
buildings of Hashan supported the action of the obelisk, leaving Hashan
citizens to ponder the turn of events.

A search of Belladona's Keep revealed Gladius missing, along with the
Priestess Dawn. Belladona shouted her displeasure at this discovery, and
scattered her minions across Sapience in search of the two. The Church,
appalled, gathered its forced against Belladona and her minions in an
effort to save Dawn and Gladius from Belladona's wrath. Members of the
Church slew many of Belladona's army, and began to form a team to kill
Belladona herself.

Meanwhile, one of Belladona's handmaidens had made her way into the
Temple of Pentharian. Upon discovering a locked door there, she called
upon the black dragon, Geh'shya, who came and destroyed it. Elysians
quickly responded to this threat by killing both the handmaiden and the
dragon. The strike team targetting Belladona was successful, with Dru
landing the final blow that sealed Belladona's fate.

While the larger events were taking place, quietly a dark miasma of
colour seeped into the abandoned Temple of Gaia. Forestals who saw the
spectacle were drawn to the Sacristy which held the Great Oak. When they
arrived, they saw the Oak uproot itself with a grunt and walk into the
Great Grove. As soon as the Oak rooted itself in the Great Grove, the
Temple shook. Paths to the north, east and west soon vanished as the
Temple laid itself to rest.

Chaos spreads, and Dawn and Gladius are still nowhere to be seen. What
lies ahead for the inhabitants of Sapience?

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Phaestian, in the year 331 AF.
