I appreciate that the current event with the Mysian Rot has taken a lot of unexpected turns and created a lot of consternation among the community for the various parts that have unfolded and in the way some aspects have been handled.

Firstly let me say the responsibility for this lies with me. I approved the event. I approved the initial plans. I approved the ship being the source. I approved making the Isle free PK. I approved (and encouraged) the conflicts. And I approved scattering various cures throughout the game as it continued to unfold. Perhaps somewhat naively, I did not anticipate things unfolding in this manner - and for that I can only offer my apologies and a continued reassurance that we (the team) are not a monolithic entity incapable of learning. We'll take a lot from this moving forward.

As such, if you are looking for someone to hate, hate me. Do not send abusive messages to my staff. Do not file issues against my staff. Do not treat my staff like dirt. This is not and will never be acceptable, no matter how much you believe they may have erred.

Now, onward:

Given the circumstances, we'll be accelerating global access to the cure and bringing things to a close as soon as is reasonably possible. Likely within the next 24 hours at the absolute maximum.

As of now, Mhaldor Isle is also no longer Free PK and the Deadman's Peak exits have been reconnected.

This is not ideal but I think it is best for us to move on and draw a line.
