Despite some tough opposition, Rangor Corten, with the support of his
allies, determinedly fought and hunted his way to the top of the Year
500 Championship Bandersnatch. With his third #1 win in a Championship
Game, this cements his place as #1 in the overall standings. Rangor
Corten is the Champion of Year 500 and the next bearer of the Staff of
Nicator, not to mention the winner of his choice of $700 USD or 2500
credits. Please extend your congratulations to Rangor, who has earned
well the title of Champion this semicentennial year. I shall present the
Staff of Nicator to him, in tandem with the current bearer of the Staff,
at the awards ceremony.

In the Y5C Quiz following the Bandersnatch, Delphinus once again proved
his Quiz mastery, placing first in a Championship Quiz for the THIRD
semicentennial Games in a row - Year 400, Year 450, and now Year 500 as
well. He was met by no lack of challenge, however, as the #2 and #3
scores were merely 1 and 3 points away, respectively. Congratulations to
Delphinus, who with a three-time consecutive win is not merely a student
of Achaean history, but a part of it.
