You may now upgrade artefacts to higher levels of the SAME base type of
artefact for only the credit price difference between the levels. This
means that if you have, for example, a Ring of Meditation (level 1 mana
regen, 300 credits) and you wish to purchase a Ring of Lucretian Clarity
(level 2 mana regen, 850 credits), you will only need 550 credits for
the upgrade. You can skip levels if desired: for example, from a Collar
of Ceylon (level 1 magical damage boost, 400 credits) to a Collar of
Agatheis (level 3 magical damage boost, 1600 credits) would cost 1200
credits.

This only applies to upgrades within the same type of artefact. You
cannot upgrade in this manner from, for example, a level 1 broadsword to
a level 2 longsword. If you have purchased the 'asp' ability for a
weapon, it will transfer. Customised descriptions may not transfer.

For an artefact level upgrade, please do NOT use the TRADEIN command at
this time. Instead, please email artefacts@achaea.com with your
character name, weapon #, the level to which you which you wish to
upgrade, and the amount of bound credits which you believe it will cost
for the upgrade. You should also have that amount of credits bound to
your character at the time you email the request.
