Griefing

Written by: Maya, the Great Mother
Date: Friday, April 18th, 2008

Most of you are familiar with this term; it has become an unfortunate
part of the MUD/MMORPG vernacular. It means to cause grief, and in terms
of a roleplaying game with PK like Achaea, it takes on a more specific
meaning: doing so consistently through unsolicited playerkilling without
any valid in-character motivation.

Some people only exhibit griefing tendencies some of the time. Some
people are griefers all of the time. Whichever is the case, let me make
this clear: griefing is not welcome in Achaea. Flimsy excuses, baiting
for cause, and hiding behind loopholes and technicalities will not
protect you. Heed this warning.

There is a new help scroll in the Policies section of the help system:
HELP GRIEFING.

Penned by My hand on the 1st of Chronos, in the year 477 AF.
