A new ship - The Windcutter

Reliable sources report that a new type of ship is now for sale in
competition with the Thalassian Seastriders of Tasur'ke.

Windcutters they're called, and an apt name it is too. These smaller,
nimbler ships can point higher into the wind than Seastriders and turn
more quickly as well. Less deck space, smaller room for cabin expansions
(to 2 rooms total, whereas the Seastriders can have 5-room cabin
expansions), and a bit less speed running before the wind - those are
the disadvantages to the design, though it is still of the same general
class of vessel as its competitor.

One of the great advantages to the Windcutter is that its price is half
that of the Seastrider: a mere two and a half million gold sovereigns.

To commission a new vessel, visit the Eastern Shore Harbour just outside
of Shastaan. Find the Shipwright Hawkins in the nearby shipyard and
COMMISSION WINDCUTTER (or COMMISSION SHIP if you must). The keel will be
laid down forthwith, and within about a month (maybe more, maybe less),
you will have the thrill of receiving this notice:

"Your commissioned ship (windcutterXX) has been completed
and awaits you at the harbour attached to the shipyard at
which you commissioned it!"

Come and get 'em!

To aspiring captains - you'll only need 4 crew for this rather smaller
vessel, if you want to be sure to have enough on hand to operate
everything needful on your ship.

Special note and warning: Ships are still quite new, and rather subject
to change as we work out any difficulties discovered during this period.
There WILL be changes, not all of them to your benefit. Please know that
if you purchase a Windcutter, you will be expected to take part to some
degree in helping us work out whatever problems may be encountered.
