Announce News Post #2279

Beta server open

A beta server for Achaea is now open at the ip address 67.189.60.29,
port 13216, and all are welcome to jump on and mess around and do
whatever you like. There are no PK rules there - see HELP BETA for more
info on beta servers. It'll be up for the next 24 hours or so.

It is running a recent copy of Achaea, but with changes to extremely
fundamental parts of IRE-wide code. This is last major portion of the
background code maintenance I spoke of in Announce news #2245, and as
such, you should NOT notice any changes to your playing experience.
Please keep an eye out for anything that's broken or different from the
way things work here - especially if you get any untrapped errors. I'll
start and pin a forum topic to report any findings. There is nothing
specific that needs to be tested, so do whatever is fun for you!

To connect, you'll have to set up your mud client or telnet client to
connect to the IP and port above. Sorry, Nexus cannot be configured to
connect to the beta server.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Daedalan, in the year 420 AF.
