Icons - an update

Witnesses to the recent destruction of Icons will doubtless
find comfort in knowing that the final result immediately after
the attendant explosion/detonation/destruction will be a much
cleaner and neater realm. The previous Shadow Icon locations had
been littered with various debris immediately after the True Icon
and its icon area were swept away. Chief among the objects to be
found at the formerly location of the Shadow Icon were both Icons!
Future iconic destruction should no longer leave this residue, at
the least.

- in short: when an icon is destroyed, both the true and shadow
icons should disappear entirely from mortal view. They had
been littering the ground where the Shadow Icon was.

The most recent Icon destruction released even more destabilising
energies across the plane of Nishnatoba - a plane already witness
to the release of endless destructive energies in previous
conflicts. The sum total of the destabilising influences has
produced the destruction of the lone shrine on the plane. Reliable
sources have predicted that attempts to erect new shrines on the
plane are doomed to failure.

- in short: shrines can no longer be erected in Nishnatoba.

Another odd result of this new level of instability on the plane
of Nishnatoba is that touching a Shadow Icon will now place you
in the proper area, but in an unpredictable location (save that
the power of the True Icon is such that no transport into its
immediate vicinity is possible via this means. In short, when you
attempt to transport up, you can't be sure precisely where you'll
arrive, except that you won't be at the True Icon.

- in short: when you touch the Shadow Icon to enter the area of
the True Icon in Nishnatoba, you now will arrive at a random
room in that Icon's area (but not at the Icon itself).

A final side-effect (or main effect: we can't be too sure) of
the further destabilisation of Nishnatoba has only now become
clear. Even the scant traces left by those who will return
within Nishnatoba - yes, even those scant traces will no longer
suffice to allow return to the ancient plane.

- in other words, if you quit in an Icon area and the icon is
destroyed, then your returning point should no longer be on
Nishnatoba, but rather down below at the former site of the
Shadow Icon.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Lupar, in the year 406 AF.
